The Fugees Reunite for World Tour
Ready or not, the Fugees are back and they’re going on a tour!
The well-respected hip-hop group – made up of Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel – are jetting off around the globe to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their magnum opus, “The Score”.
The 1996 multi-platinum album skyrocketed the trio to rap royalty with classics such as “Killing Me Softly” and “Ready or Not”. Critics have consistently noted it as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time.
The international tour – their first time in 15 years – was announced on Wednesday, 22 September, with an intimate gig at an unnamed location in New York City.
The Fugees will be performing throughout November and December in 12 cities including Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, London and it will conclude with their last two at unannounced venues in Nigeria and Ghana.
In a press release, Jean said: “As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the unheard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.
